Zeroemissions is Abengoa's company which provides global solutions for climate change through the promotion, development, and trade of carbon credits, carbon offset services and innovation in technologies for greenhouse gas reduction.

Zeroemissions develops its activity in four actvity units: carbon credits origination. CDM and JI; ZeroEmission labeling; carbon credits investment management; new technologies.

Zeroemissions offers the possibility to calculate the emissions of a company, an action, an event, a product or a service, and once calculated, develop an emission reduction plan and offset their remanent emissions through the purchase and cancellation of carbon credits that are generated in emissions reduction projects.

New technologies

Zeroemissions identifies and implements innovative technologies or modifies existing technologies to reduce greenhouse gases emissions by:

The improvement of energy efficiency of industrial processes and facilities.
The reduction of high global warming potential gases: CH4, N2O, HFCs, SF6 and PFCs.
Reduction of tropospheric ozoneprecursors (VOCs, NOx and CO), as it has potential for global warming in the lower layers of the atmosphere.
