Zeroemissions takes part in the Carbon Expo

The event took place in Cologne, Germany, last May

Zeroemissions attended the Carbon Expo 2010 in the German city of Cologne from the 25th to 28th of May. Companies that are world leaders in carbon issues attended this meeting, making it an extraordinary opportunity to make new contacts with other companies and potential clients and offer them the consultancy services of Zeroemissions in this exceptional context. Zeroemissions had the opportunity to expand its market and was able to show interested clients the consultancy and management it carries out from the various sections of the company.

This year the Carbon Expo brought together 240 companies from 68 different countries in an area of over 9000 square metres. More than 3000 people of very diverse nationalities were able to attend the different international forums and conferences in which the way for the next world meeting in Cancun was prepared. The inventory and compensation for the greenhouse gas emissions generated was also carried out.

The main players in the international carbon markets attended Carbon Expo, being visited by project promoters and representatives from developing countries and buyers of carbon credits, as well as financial agents or companies that provide technology for these types of project.

After these days it was concluded that the experience was very rewarding, having provided a view of the worldwide scene and the situation of the international carbon market.

The fair’s organisers have already announced that the event will be held in Barcelona again next year, the same as in 2009, after an agreement was reached in the negotiations that were being carried out between the different collaborating organisations. This decision is the result of Spain’s leading role in carbon markets and the fight against climate change.
